Three years ago today Dave and I exchanged rings and vows in front of our family and friends, and started a new chapter in our lives as husband and wife. And each year on our anniversary I’ve written a little something to celebrate the day, and those posts can be found here and here.
Dear Dave,
It’s been three years babe. That’s crazy! Even crazier are all the changes we’ve experienced in this year alone.
We purchased our first home together, picking up and moving from the Bronx to a nice little town in Long Island. And I can never thank you enough for pretty much unpacking our house by yourself, as I took care of Sadie, and also hung out with some friends that I hadn’t seen in way too long.
And we had a baby! I still don’t fully comprehend that we’re parents to this spunky little girl we call Sadie, but we are. And you, as predicted, are an amazing father.
While our time alone now is limited, that just makes our nights out that much more enjoyable. Nothing makes me happier to be out with you, having great conversation while enjoying some good beer. It amazes me that after three years of marriage and over six years together, we still find out new things about each other, and don’t run out of topics to discuss.
Here’s to as many more happy years as this life will grant us! And to our love for each other and ability to always have a good time never diminishing.
I love you – Happy three year anniversary!
